Where can I download the latest version of RevEx?
In this web page there's a "Downloads" section where you can download the latest version of RevEx.
What's RevEx for?
The tool has two main functionalities:
- Extract Reviews: It automatically extracts the reviews section of a web page and displays it in the active tab of the browser.
- Toggle View: It swaps from the original web page to the reviews section and vice versa.
Which browsers does it RevEx support?
Right now it works with Firefox-based and Chromium-based browsers.
How can I install it?
After saving the add-on file in a suitable location on your computer:
Firefox-based:
- Enter "about:extensions" in the navigation bar
- From the settings cog
, open Install Add-on From File
Chromium-based:
- Enter "chrome://extensions" in the navigation bar
- Drag and drop the zip file into the window, or just clic the button "Load uncompressed" and select the extension folder
How do I use RevEx?
Once installed, you can browse on the Internet as usual. Then, when you want to extract the reviews section of a web page, you must just press the "Extract reviews" button and the tool automatically will extract the reviews section. The reviews section will be displayed in the browser as any other web page.
Who developed RevEx?
This software has been designed and implemented in the computer science labs of the UPV.
